William Chapman climbed two fences to enter a tiger’s enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park before suffering multiple injuries and being killed, an inquest has heard.
The hearing was told that Mr Chapman crossed both barriers to reach the tiger’s pen at the wildlife park in Yorkshire. He was then attacked by the animal and sustained multiple injuries.
The circumstances surrounding his death are being examined at the inquest. The evidence about the two fences sets out how Mr Chapman entered the enclosure before the fatal incident.
The inquest remains the latest known forum for establishing the circumstances of what happened at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
