BBC News says its news app is available for Android and iOS devices, bringing together its latest reporting, analysis and human-interest stories from journalists around the world.
The app can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and from Google Play for Android devices. BBC News also says users outside the UK can download the BBC app through a separate link.
The broadcaster is inviting users to provide feedback on the new app.
BBC News notes that mobile data charges may apply depending on a user’s contract and advises anyone unsure about possible costs to contact their mobile network provider. It says some costs may already be included in an existing price plan, or users may be able to choose a data package with lower internet access charges.
The BBC says it does not charge users to access its mobile content.
